Welcome to the Research Training Group (RTG) 2988 FlexBaR!

We are hiring!

A Research Training Group (RTG) is a university institution that focuses on the qualification of PhD students within the framework of a thematically focused research program and a structured qualification and supervision concept.

The RTG 2988 “Flexibility and Balance as Characteristics of Adaptive Self-Regulation - FlexBaR” will explore self-regulation as a key factor for attaining a broad range of desirable life outcomes. Specifically, the RTG will investigate two concepts hypothesized to notably contribute to the significance of self-regulation: regulatory flexibility and balance.

The RTG is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) for five years starting in October 2024 and will involve 22 PhD students in two cohorts (4 years per cohort, starting in October 2024 and October 2026).
