Gisa is the head of the Developmental Psychology Unit at Saarland University. Her main research interests are in the areas of the socio-cognitive development, the role of the early parent-child relationship for child development and child temperament.

In the RTG, Gisa is the principal investigator of project F3 and the secondary supervisor of project F2.
