Jutta is the head of the lifespan cognition lab at Saarland University. Her main research interests comprise the understanding of lifespan changes in cognitive functioning such as self-control and executive functioning, risk-taking behavior in adolescence, and the interplay between language, memory, and learning.

In the RTG, Jutta is the principal investigator of project B4 and the secondary supervisor of projects F3 and B3.
