Jutta is the head of the lifespan cognition lab at Saarland University. Her main research interests comprise the understanding of lifespan changes in cognitive functioning such as self-control and executive functioning, risk-taking behavior in adolescence, and the interplay between language, memory, and learning.

In the RTG, Jutta is the principal investigator of project B4 and the secondary supervisor of project F3.
