Abstract
Science needs trust, and trust is built by following good scientific practice. Every case of scientific misconduct destroys trust in science. Good communication is a key to safeguarding good scientific practice, next to knowing the rules.

We will discuss good scientific practice and explore the relevant Code of Conduct published by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft. We will share our experiences in discussing scientific quality assurance, data sharing, and authorship and practice critical conversations.
